On Sunday, 14 March 2010, Sohar Aluminium and Mazoon Laundry-Holding signed an agreement whereby Sohar Aluminium will lease a portion of its current on-site laundry facility to Mazoon Laundry-Holding for a period of six years to operate as a laundry for industrial businesses.

The 100% woman-owned Mazoon Laundry-Holding will as a result of this agreement create 22 jobs of which 70% will be held by Omanis. Mazoon Laundry has expressed their intention to start their operation on 1 April 2010.

General Manager Commercial & Corporate Affairs, Dr Hilal Al Hinai, stated at the signing ceremony "the agreement between Sohar Aluminium and Mazoon Laundry-Holding is in line with Sohar Aluminium's CSR objectives and especially in assisting local communities to create sustainable enterprises.  Sohar Aluminium looks forward to a long and rewarding relationship with Mazoon Laundry-Holding".

In attendance at the signing ceremony are Malak Al-Shibani, Asma Al-Awadhi, Eng. Addul Nabi, Dr. Hilal bin Abdullah Hinai, H.E Sheikh Hilal bin Bader Al-Busaidi, Michel Huot, Isabelle Brassard, Abdullah Al-Kushri, Asma Al-Futisi, Khadija Al-shidi and Raj Navsaria.
