Sohar Aluminium (SA) recently announced appointing Mr. Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Nasser Al Kharusi as General Manager of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs. In his new capacity, Al Kharusi will be leading the Human Resources Administration, the Human Resources Development, the Communications, the Medical Centre, and the Corporate Social Responsibility.
MBA holder with 23 years of experience in various HR functions in different sectors such Oil and Gas, Banking and Financial Institutions, Ahmed will be the custodian of the SA’s People and Corporate Citizenship Pillars, overseeing the development of the strategies and contributing in driving the overall corporate strategy of Sohar Aluminium.
Sohar Aluminium was formed in September 2004 to undertake a landmark Greenfield aluminium smelter project in the Sultanate of Oman. It is jointly owned by Oman Oil Company, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC - TAQA and Rio Tinto.
